One of the unique thing about TAG MASTERS is that it gives you the OPTION to run Bridgestone or Burris. The first race of TAG MASTERS took place at Moran Raceway on 2/10/07 - see info below:
Total number of drivers = 19
Total number of drivers in Bridgestone = 17
Total number of drivers in Burris = 2
Qualifying - top 3:
(1) Jack Kirkpatrick (Bridgestone) = 1.07.722
(2) Brian Phillipsen (Bridgestone) = 1.08.381
(3) Kurt Burris (Burris) = 1.08.818
Race (Main Heat) - FASTEST LAP OF THE RACE:
- Kurt Burris (Burris) = 1.07.613
Considering that vast majority of drivers were with Bridgestone, the Burris Tires performed extremely well. Only 2 out of 19 drivers were running with Burris Tires, yet it qualified in the TOP 3. Only 2 out of 19 drivers were running with Burris Tires, yet it obtained the FASTEST LAP OF THE RACE (note - second driver with Burris Tires did not finish race due to engine problems).
